Racism And Religion – Controversial Subject We Try To Avoid

October 22, 2023

Truly there are subjects sometime we need to take Time out to really ponder upon.

Certain subject are, at times, very controversial and very sensitive to discuss openly. But it must be address and not ignore for then certain groups or individuals may think that it is their right to abuse others with their ideologies, theories, or ideas without any consideration that there are more than one person that exist upon this earth, there are more than one country, and that there are more than one ideas and cultures. It is most certainly ok to agree or disagree on certain believes, things, subjects, or ideas that don’t matter to one but yet matters a great deal to others. Respect and understanding of all of our background, cultures and differences can go a long way in the journey to life in the consideration that all lives do matters to each person. The diversity of our universe cannot be silent by just one idea that belong to one particular individual or one particular race. If we would allow ourselves to and would be open hearts and/or minds and embrace each other’s differences, there can be endless possibilities in finding the depth of unity in the midst of our diverse communities and that we need one another in this journey of life more than we know.

I am very enlightened and glad there is someone (read Karen Kirby Atchley writing/expressions below) out there that point out the bias of such groups or individuals who thinks that only their views and opinions matters and none other should exist. I feel this way when anytime the bias “Fake” news media reports on something about racism and they would only target one race, one kind of people, one kind of culture, or one kind of religion to push their bias agenda or ideology that only supports their views and ideas to further the race bate in the citizens to start a race war or fan the flame of whatever it maybe to bring hatred and division upon the people to stir trouble. I don’t believe that this nation is at all racist as a whole nation. There maybe a few groups or individuals here and there throughout the nation who’d gather enough supports to make some noise that shows and express their extreme ideologies to bring obstruction and suppressions upon the citizens and those individuals could come from all different races but not the mass majority. It is with certainty that each one of us, because of our background, we all have differences and cultural differences and it is a great thing for any nations to possess such laws that the citizens have the freedom to express their differences and to have these differences. As each individual who has different backgrounds and different ethnics, we should all be proud and be grateful to have such freedom without excluding anyone of any races.

The real big question is, why is it that only one particular race (white) or religions (Christian or Jewish) are always mentions and point out as racist????? I truly believe it is very unfair and more people should speak out and stand against any racism from any individuals or groups no matter the race, colors or believes. What We all must ask is what truly reside within the hearts of such individuals to reflect such indifferences of thinking toward other races, cultures, and religions and not accept the fact that, we as each individual, differ in many more ways than one.

“I have often wondered about why Whites are racists, and no other race is……
Someone finally said it. How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans.. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.
You call me ‘White boy,’ ‘Cracker,’ ‘Honkey,’ ‘Whitey,’ ‘Caveman’… And that’s OK.

You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah.
You have Ma’uled Al-Nabi.
You have the NAACP.
You have BET….
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we’d be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month, we’d be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to ‘advance’ OUR lives, we’d be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships… You know we’d be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US .
Yet if there were ‘White colleges’, that would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
I am proud…… But you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists??
There is nothing improper about this.
Let’s see which of you are proud enough to send it on.
I sadly don’t think many will.
That’s why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country.
We won’t stand up for ourselves!
BE PROUD TO BE WHITE! And No, I am Not Racist!
It’s not a crime YET…. But getting very close!”-Author: Karen Kirby Atchley”
